Biography

Joyce Tremel is a former employee of a suburban Pittsburgh police department. She holds a second degree black belt in Taekwondo and volunteered as a trainee instructor for two years. She is a member of Mysterywrights (a critique group), and a member of Pennwriter's. Joyce is a former Vice-President of the Mary Roberts Rinehart chapter of Sisters in Crime. Her non-fiction articles have appeared in The Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police magazine, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and the Penn Writer. Her short story Agatha is featured in the Spring 2009 Mysterical-E magazine and her flash story, The Disappearance of Sarah was a finalist in a contest sponsored by The Graveyard Shift.
